Gault, Marshall & Box, PLLC’s roots trace back to 1990 when Spivey Gault and Carl Marshall, partners in a Greenville, Mississippi based law firm moved to Paducah Kentucky and opened a branch office of that firm, primarily in response to a growing number of inland river towing and towing related companies locating in the Paducah area. Over the next nine years, the firm expanded into numerous other practice areas including general defense litigation, complex commercial litigation, condemnation litigation and maritime and non-maritime commercial transactions.

A Preeminent Law Firm
In 1999, the Paducah based partners of the Greenville firm withdrew and formed the present firm. In 2005, Mr. Edward K. Box joined the firm, bringing experience with him in a broad range of civil and criminal matters including areas such as FELA and Asbestosis defense. Since its formation, the firm has received the highest peer review ratings from Martindale-Hubbell for legal abilities and general ethical standards (“AV”) and has been listed in Martindale-Hubbell’s Register of Preeminent Law Firms. In 2007, Mr. Gault and Mr. Marshall were selected by their peers for inclusion as Kentucky Super Lawyers, an honor that is limited to the top five percent of attorneys in Kentucky.

While G M & B attorneys are trial lawyers, they also believe that litigation is only one of many ways to resolve problems and encourage active client involvement in the litigation process to identify goals and potential strategies to reach those goals in a timely and economically efficient manner.
